Nov. 23

This day started when I was awakened my mom’s gibberish talk. Having been 21 years existed in this world, I must say that I get used to it once in a while. I may be immune to it. But sometimes I get ticked off when it’s out of place.

I awoke at exactly 6:27 am. And as I felt drowsy, I plopped back to sleep. I got up at bed at exactly 6:37 and did chores my mom told me to do like, withdraw cash, buy pan de sal, etc etc… My mom was leaving that day to Davao to teach some students there. Later on, I was asked to accompany her to get a cab. Then later, she told me to accompany her to the airport itself. I SMS-ed my friend Aya that we’ll be meeting her in Shangri-La at about 1pm. It’s an hour late from the first agreement which was about 12 pm.

After dropped off my mom to the airport, I headed home. I got home at about 10:30am. When I got home, I received an SMS from my friend K.R. , said he was already in Rockwell. THAT EARLY!!! So I decided to get dressed and started to head for Shangri-La where I would meet Aya. I also messaged her that we would be meeting her at about 12pm instead of 1pm. Sonar and I arrived at Shang at about 11:11 am. and decided to play Drummania[DM] and Guitar Freaks[GF] while waiting for Aya. My fingers still hurt so I couldn’t play DM.

12:10pm, Aya finally arrives. She greeted me and gave me a gift (a yin yang symbol necklace – Thank you Aya!!!). After meeting up with her, we went immediately to Rockwell Power Station….

TO ROCKWELL
After the dreadful journey to Rockwell, we finally arrived here at last. Seeing the place amazed me. My friend Aya would never have said it better. “It’s so unlike megamall”. Yup. You’ll see a mall with only few mortals passing by.

We went to quantum power station and we saw no one there. We decided to session play. I was the bassist, Aya was lead, Sonar was our drummer. While we were playing, my friend KR suddenly appeared and stared distracting me. We remained there about an hour or so, just playing and fooling around.

TOKYO TOKYO
2pm, we decided to eat. We were deciding on where we would like to eat. We went sight seeing in the process. After 5 minutes of touring Rockwell (yes 5 minutes,) we decided to eat at Tokyo Tokyo. There were only five of us there… Me, Sonar, Aya, K.R. and Noel. The place was quiet as hell. Anyone could hear K.R.’s story about a mile away. We ate but we weren’t able to have dessert.

After we ate, we headed back to quantum power station. We saw Glen while we’re headed there. We spent time once again in quantum power station.

ONIHIME (DEMON PRINCESS)
4 P.M. K.R. parted with us ‘cause he’s attending mass with his dad. We remained in Power station for quite some time. I decided to play DM even though my fingers hurt like hell. I was able to play ONIHIME in EXT + auto bass and guess what? I finished the damn song… though my fingers started to get numb…

PICTURES ANYONE?
After that, we decided to walk around Rockwell a bit. We first stopped at fully booked. We had a great time there even though it was only full of books. We went to the movie house next, and we tripped on Chicken Little’s picture. We walked a few more and Glen spotted a fire exit hallway – good for picture taking. We decided to explore this fire exit pathway and take pictures of ourselves on Glen’s Camera. We were like fools for sometime. Then suddenly, Noel noticed that there was a surveillance camera sticking out. We didn’t know the first place, so we’re like ¼ embarrassed, ¾ amused at our stupidity. We had fun nonetheless.

KARAOKE
After that, we went to power station again, and we decided to take pictures there. Noel suddenly spotted this karaoke room where we could rest. We didn’t expect that we will be actually singing later on. Ruel arrived later. We sang Sailing Day by Bump Of Chicken and 1/3 no junjou na kanjou. Marc later arrived and told us to transfer to the next karaoke room because that’s the room where the machine gives you free songs every time you get a score of 95 and above. This is where we spent the remaining time of the day. Deevs arrived followed by Erika. We all sang to our heart’s content.

TO MRT GUADALUPE STATION
7pm. Aya was messaged by her dad saying she had to go home. I dropped her off at MRT Guadalupe station together with Noel who picked up an unused cigarette lying in front of Rockwell. We arrived at MRT Guadalupe Station and there we parted ways.

BACK TO ROCKWELL
I rode a jeepney bound to Rockwell from Guadalupe. I used my student status to get a discount, one of which I haven’t used for a while. Back in Rockwell, they were still having fun. Some played DM, others played GF, while we sang in the karaoke room.

KFC (WHAT A CAT YOU ARE)
Around 8:30, we decided to eat at KFC’s. Kezia started to make fun of me by saying “hi Roy” every time I start to speak. We talked about the programs Jack TV airs. We all laughed the hell out of each other.

WALKING BOYS AND A NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCE
Around 9 p.m., Ate Erika (haha!) parted ways with us. We all decided to walk from Rockwell to Guadalupe MRT station. That’s what I call quality time with friends. Along the way Kezia called for a cab and out of nowhere, this jackass cat hid under the cab Kezia was riding on. When the cab started to move, the cat panicked. We were waiting for a road kill but it escaped on time.

FAREWELL
After that, we started to part ways. When we got to Guadalupe Edsa, Glen said goodbye and parted ways. We rode an MRT bound Shaw. When we reached Shaw station, we parted ways with Deevs. We rode a jeepney bound Pasig. Marc was the first to get of on Pineda. We rode a tricycle and Ruel got off and parted ways. Sonar and I went home. And that’s how this great day ended.

This day would never have been great if it weren’t for the people involved here. Lots of love to you guys!!! Thank you!!! you made my day.
