Gamer Clan

Now there's one major topic I should start talking about. Gamer Clan - It's kinda getting crowded here lately, which makes things a little out of hand.

Gamer Clan - To tell you the truth I actually never did believe in it at first. I thought it was just some kinda ordinary community with a bunch of jumping ducks doing what they please without a trace of guilt or conscience on their body. But well, as time progressed, I became one of those ducks. I in fact learned how to actually relate to those peole whom I never met before. Before I used to push people back and not minding their business as they wouldn't mind mine either. I was so full of my own self-centered world until I met this community. And that's when I realized you need somebody to share your life with - Cliche but true.

The first Eb of Gamer Clan as a group I think was on June 18, 2005 [Saturday @ SM Megamall Foodcourt]. There I met different kinds of people with different tastes and styles. I had fun, I played Drummania (I wasn't even good at it at first), conversed with eccentric people, and all the common stuff that I'm doing today that I never had the chance to do before. This event had such a huge impact on my life that I somehow craved for some more. I got so excited every Saturday that I became so damn lonely without it - the company, the fun, the crazy stuff going on - everthing.

Then I remembered, I was appointed Administrator of the board. At first I hadn't got a clue what an Admin was. But in time I found out that I was in charge of enforcing moderators of the board, making the rules, in charge of the layout of the board, etc, etc. In short I was like a demi-god of the board. Cool I thought.

We are so well known for the GC's "hundreth member cleebration". Everytime we increment ourselves by a hundred, we consider it a success and we make it a point to celebrate. This shortly became a GC tradition. If I remember clearly the celebration by chronological order was as follows:

100th member celebration (100th member: unidentified): Ordinary traditional hang-out in the mall.
200th member celebration (200th member: Testament): We had three rounds to cover this event. 1st round: SM North [December 4, 2005] 2nd Round: Glorietta [December 10, 2005] 3rd Round (final): SM Megamall[December 17, 2005]
300th member Celebration (300th member: Jeds): SM Megamall: activity: Ice Skating
400th member Celebration (400th member: unidentified): SM Megamall: activity: Movie Watching - Silent Hill

Boy, It's been a year too since GC started.Come to think of it, GC has gone quite far considering that we're planing on an anime X gaming convention (crosses fingers). Gamer Clan has gone far despite certain trials of it breaking apart. Some people suddenly even think that there is no hope for it. I, on the other hand, don't know what they're thinking in particular. I don't have the right to dictate to them what to do, let alone what to think because after all, I'm just a "demi-god" in front of a computer but on the outside world, things tend to change and you come to a point where you realize that you're just a speck despite what you do. But no matter what anybody says, I love GC and I'll continue to love it 'cause this is where I belong. I'll never run away from it and never taint it with dirt.

*phew* about time I post something on this blog. And a serious one to boot!
